In the everyday grind of farm life, there are many life lessons that are learned along the way. Most are hard, and some seem to go on forever. But only by the Grace of God are these life lessons able to be turned into abundant blessings.
Jason is learning so many practical skills that he will be able to use all the rest of his life. Bob is not only demonstrating patience...but is teaching Jason it takes patience for a job to be done well.
Bob is instructing Jason in the art of "chicken shelter building". They are making sure the corners are tight and strong. Using power tools while laying down is a challenge... one that Jason was learning to do well!
Jason is working hard to keep the broiler chickens topped off with fresh, clean, water. On really hot days he needs to do this twice a day. He is one strong and reliable young man!
Lifting the lid to the floor-less broiler shelters takes muscle strength and patience. Jason has learned how to do this effortlessly.
The two of us were all dressed up for an outing which is a rare occasion here on the farm. "Let's take a selfie, Mom!"
